Oh, the year 2014. Such quaint times we were living in, compared to the ravaged, dystopian nightmare that is 2018. The viral stories everyone was talking about in 2014 included "fine felon" Jeremy Meeks (although, to be fair, we're still talking about him), the "apparently kid," a three-boobed lady (who turned out to be a fake, but whatever), and of course, who can forget the ALS ice bucket challenge.
Perhaps in an effort to recapture these simpler days of yore, a popular ASCII design meme from 2014 has made an official comeback.

No one is 100 percent sure of where the meme originated. When the Daily Dot covered the story at the time, we noted that non-English-language iterations of the sign bunny had dated back several years—with the first modern occurrence surfacing in August of 2013—however, the meme really began to gain traction a year later in September of 2014.
Back then, the meme was first used by sarcastic journalists, but eventually, it became picked up by the unwashed masses to draw attention to anything from hot takes and jokes to fans using it to stan their idols. The meme was eventually issued a time of death when it was appropriated by the New York GOP Twitter account.
For whatever reason, it's back and better than ever. Though this time around, many people are using the meme in earnest, as you can see below.
